Efectividad de la intrusión molar superior con mini implantes para corregir la mordida abierta anterior

Resumen
Los ortodoncistas consideran la mordida abierta anterior un verdadero desafío, debido a la interacción de varios factores etiológicos (genéticos, dentales, esqueléticos, funcionales). Es importante determinar el mejor tratamiento para esta patología, hoy en día existen varias técnicas para lograr la intrusión molar superior entre las que se destacan los mini implantes por ser una técnica sencilla y accesible para todo paciente, el objetivo de esta revisión de tipo descriptiva, fue conocer la efectividad de la intrusión del molar maxilar en la corrección de la mordida abierta anterior mediante mini implantes. Finalmente los estudios coinciden que los mini implantes son una técnica efectiva, más estable y menos traumática que se emplea con facilidad para corregir la mordida abierta anterior, mediante la intrusión de molares superiores. El éxito del tratamiento depende del diagnóstico y plan de tratamiento para lograr una corrección exitosa y estable a largo plazo.
