Expresión del torque en brackets de auto ligado activo versus el pasivo

Resumen

Los brackets de autoligado se han hecho populares en los últimos 10 años, su importancia radica en el modo de ligadura que utilizan y los beneficios que representa. Existen dos tipos, los autoligados activos en donde la compuerta tiene contacto directo con el arco metálico, y autoligado pasivo en donde los brackets actúan como tubos principalmente en la etapa inicial del tratamiento ortodóncico. El objetivo de esta revisión de la literatura es conocer el torque de los brackets de autoligado activo versus el, así como también actualizar datos importantes de los mismos. Se recopilaron 28 artículos científicos de la base de datos Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, Portal Regional de la Bvs, Scielo, los cuales aportaron evidencia a partir de estudios in vitro, en donde la eficacia de expresión de torque es superior en los brackets de autoligado activo durante las etapas finales del tratamiento.
