Tratamiento ortodóntico de mordida cruzada posterior
Resumen
La mordida cruzada posterior se caracteriza por aparecer en edades tempranas, por lo que se debe iniciar un tratamiento temprano para garantizar su efectividad y evitar complicaciones; por ello el objetivo de este estudio es recopilar información en la literatura sobre el tratamiento de la mordida cruzada posterior. La estrategia de búsqueda se llevó a cabo utilizando las bases de datos; PubMed, Lilacs, Scopus, Web of science, Springer y Scielo en donde se obtuvo un total de 124 artículos y se utilizaron 25 para la presente revisión bibliográfica la cual dejo en evidencia que el Quadhelix sería el aparato más indicado para tratar la mordida cruzada posterior, que todos los tratamientos ayudan a la modificación ósea en la zona de expansión, en mayor o menor grado y que tiene mejores resultados en pacientes en proceso de crecimiento.
