Suspension of Vice President Verónica Abad: Violations of due process and constitutional rights in Ecuador
Abstract
The overall objective of the research was to analyze the suspension of Vice President Verónica Abad: Violations of due process and constitutional rights in Ecuador. The approach taken by the researchers to develop the method was through investigation, collection, and critical analysis of documents and bibliographic references, based on the methodical, rigorous, and in-depth exploration of various documentary sources consisting of peer-reviewed articles, laws, and regulations. Documentary review was used as a technique. The inductive-deductive method was also used. In conclusion, the role of the Vice Presidency in Ecuador continues to be a matter of constant debate and redefinition. Institutional consolidation will be based on a more stable relationship between the executive and legislative branches, as well as the implementation of policies that strengthen its autonomy and ensure that its functions are effectively fulfilled to promote the democratic governance of the country.
