Crimes of violence against women in times of pandemic covid19 in Ecuador
Abstract
The general objective of this research was to analyze crimes of violence against women in times of the covid19 pandemic in Ecuador. The methodology used was based on a quantitative approach, using the collection and analysis of a documentary-bibliographic typology. It was developed with a bibliographic documentary design since it allowed the collection of documents made by organizations that seek to eradicate violence and its increase in times of pandemic. The analytical-synthetic method was jointly proposed, by means of which a whole is decomposed into parts extracting qualities, components, relations and more to later unite the analyzed parts. It is inferred that this situation is the result of poor management of the health crisis, which led to an increase in cases of violence against women. It is concluded that the measures adopted by the competent state bodies were not correct, as they did not consider principles such as non-discrimination and exclusion.
