Business intelligence in the monitoring and evaluation process of a university's annual operating plan
Abstract
The objective of this research is to improve the management of the Institutional Planning Direction of UPEC, incorporating elements of Business Intelligence for managerial decision making in the monitoring and evaluation processes of the Annual Operational Plan. The Planning Unit, having the BI solution proposed, allowed it to access updated information through the intelligent reports developed, making use of them whenever they are requested, only when the database of the main integrated computer system is updated; thus avoiding the elaboration of the same from scratch and consequently the Director of the Unit can verify the current and historical status of the monitoring and evaluation of the AOP in order to make the most appropriate decisions in a comprehensible manner.
